    The plants are tall, upright and reasonably productive, bearing 2 to 3-in long, pendant pods, which taper to a sharp pointed "stinger." The pods mature from green to orange and finally red approximately 90-120 days after transplanting (similar to some of the other long-season sinense cultivars).

    Trinidad Scorpion (aka Trinidad Moruga Scorpion) has a Scoville heat rating of 1.2 million, superseding the former highest-heat rating of Bhut Jolokia (at "only" 1 million).
