Posted by daylily (Ohio - Zone 6a) on Dec 3, 2011 1:16 PM Here in my zone 5/6 garden, Prairie Fire has withstood drought, heavy rains, ice storms, snow - all without a bit of problems. It is a four season tree. Lovely branching and bark in the winter, with the crabapples hanging on into December and sometimes January. Beautiful blooms in the spring. Lovely shiny heathy foliage in the summer. Fall, good color. The Cedar Waxwings visit it during migration and feast on the abundant fruit. A favorite. [ Reply to this comment | |
