HVH: "Although it comes from completely different parentage, the flower of 'Red Buttons' looks like a larger, redder version of the classic mini hibiscus 'Suede Buttons.' The single 5-7" flower blooms in a rusty red, orange, or warm brown, depending on the weather and growing conditions. The eye is dark red with an intense silvery white halo and rays. 'Red Buttons' is the result of a cross between the brown hibiscus 'Crème de Cacao' and the blue and brown hibiscus 'Moon Madness.' In addition to this interesting flower, 'Red Buttons' is one of our Fascinating Foliage hybrids. Released from HVH in 2011."
