"Paeonia 'Yellow Emperor', (3-SD-Y) Itoh Hybrid Peony, (Itoh, 1964), USDA Hardiness Zone 5, Medium height, semi-double, light yellow petals, occasional red flares, yellow tipped carpels, midseason bloomer , Michigan Bloom Month 5.

A cross of P. suffruticosa 'Alice Harding' x 'Kakoden'. A more single form of Yellow Crown. One of the original Itoh hybrids. Introduced by Louis Smirnow. Registered with APS by Louis Smirnow, 1974. "
