JungleShadows said: Sharon, of Sharon's Pencil was a funny story. I took classes at the prep school four days/ week and then came back to my home high school on Friday to take band, French 6, and chemistry laboratory. (I had to graduate from a MA public school in order to qualify for the MA state scholarships so i graduated both from the prep school and regular school.) Invariably I didn't bring a pencil to school and Sharon always came to my rescue on those Fridays. I didn't even have a locker in the high school even. Anyway I was thinking of a name for that plant and was using Sharon's pencil, hence the name.
