Planted three bulbs in 2014. Now it appears they have multiplied to ten!

This is often sold as an LA (Longiflorum-Asiatic) hybrid, but according to the breeder (Mak Breeding) it is just an Asiatic. It is not listed in the RHS register (as of the Fifth Supplement to the 2007 Register, released in 2017).

I suspect it is a diploid based on a successful cross with a diploid, but this will require further investigation.

In my Zone 10 climate it produced many stem bulblets on its first year. Sadly, it declined rapidly and did not return for the second year (all bulbs had disappeared after two years).
