Note the graduated colour from dark green to light green on the unripened fruit - typical of the species. Ripened sample measured 6 cm diameter - quite common size, similar to a small apple, although some smaller sized fruit may develop.
Grown from seed, indoors, from late May and planted outdoors some weeks later - in southern England - in composted pots as six inch seedlings. Frequently watered - often daily during the 2023 dry spells to avoid bottom end rot - and sited well away from other tomato varieties to avoid cross pollination to preserve sovereignty of the variety for the following year.
Usually exceptionally tasty although early reddening fruit can sometimes not be as succulent as later maturing fruit.
NOTE: Plant can become heavily over-burdened with fruit leading to stems breaking - especially if exposed to wind. Stake out main stem well, and ensure support for lower fruit, well off the ground surface.
