Paeonia 'Ballarena de Saval' (Tolomeo, 2002) is an Itoh hybrid peony that is also auto-correctedly known as Peony 'Ballerina de Saval'. It appears that Irene Tolomeo named this peony after her mother Ballarena and her father Saval. I assume she knew how to spell her mother's name. Back to the peony, it's a 28" pale lavender semi-double flower with darker lavender flares. Like most Itoh hybrids, it has good foliage and strong stems.
