"Paeonia 'Sonoma Amethyst', (3-SD-L) Itoh Hybrid Peony, (Tolomeo, 2001), USDA Hardiness Zone 5, Medium height, semi-double, deep lavender petals, red-tipped carpels, small ring of yellow stamens, strong stems, side-buds, midseason bloomer, Michigan Bloom Month 5-7.

Bred by Irene Tolomeo from Sonoma, CA. Petals are deep lavender at the base fading to a lighter lavender towards the petal edges."
