Low, branching green Aeonium cultivar with fleshy leaves. Rosettes reach about six inches in winter before branches appear at the base of the leaves, and the rosette grows a few inches wider. Leaves are somewhat spatulate, with a narrow lower third or half, and the upper surface of the wide part is slightly concave.
This unusual and attractive plant may be a hybrid of A. lindleyi (a branchy dwarf with yellow flowers and fine hairs on sticky leaves) and A. nobile (the solitary giant of the genus, in terms of width but not height, with red flowers). It is intermediate between these species in size, leaf texture, and flower color.
Not a small or slow plant. May grow from a cutting (one 5" rosette) to a big (10-12") multibranched cluster in less than six months. Like the nobile parent, this plant is only really suitable for extra-large containers long-term, and perhaps best kept in the ground in permissive climates.
