When flowers first open they have a light green bar that eventually fades until the flower is completely white. It's named for Catherine Bateman, the daughter of famous orchid grower, James Bateman. Since 'Miss Bateman' blooms so heavily during the spring, some recommend a bloom-booster fertilizer after its initial flowering to increase the strength of autumn rebloom.

Parentage: 'Fortunei' x 'Standishii'
