This tree's fruit is a nutritious fruit about the size of a lemon. Sweet and crunchy like an apple with the taste of a sweet date. Can be made into jams and jellies or eaten straight off the tree. Sherwood is one of the species that was grown from seed in the U.S. It is one of the very few thornless Jujube varieties and has a tall upright growth habit. It is only partial self-fertile so it will do best to have a pollinator.
