This species and this cultivar are new on the market. This cultivar is more compact than the straight species. I bought my specimen at a regular garden center with a label. In late summer and early fall it did bloom, but it was not showing forth the really thicker pink flower bloom that I expected. The bloom was nice but not showy at all. Perhaps because it is a new, young plant in its first year. I'll have to research.
