The flowers of this new salvia are beautiful. A result of its parents, Salvia moorcroftiana x Salvia indica, it is a chance seedling found at Suncrest Nurseries in CA and is a Plant Select® plant for 2017. The more I see the closeup of the flowers, the more I love it. I haven't read whether it is ok to grow in containers yet, but I hope it can be, because it doesn't seem to be rabbit resistant. I have a lot of wild rabbits in my yard year round and they would munch it down to the ground.
