Cym. simulans and Cym. pendulum are now considered to be synonyms of Aloe-Leafed Cymbidium Orchid (Cymbidium aloifolium), which gives Penguin precedence over the later registrations of Orchid (Cymbidium Alcor) and Kintoki. However, the RHS still refers to all three as separate grexes (much like registered Cym. iansonii hybrids) and Cym. simulans behaves somewhat differently from the type, so Alcor has been given a separate entry in this case.
