This is a known tetraploid alba carrier and is the result of a cross between an alba form of Cym. insigne and the green Cym. floribundum var. album (which is not an alba). The hybridiser, Andy Easton, commented that it is a valuable parent that New Horizon Orchids is unlikely to ever release; it is a "neutral colour breeder" and generally produces offspring of the same colour of the plant that it is crossed with.
