Posted by chelle (N.E. Indiana - Zone 5b) on Jul 23, 2012 8:26 AM This plant seems a bit weak-stemmed and flops in part-sun conditions. [ Reply to this comment
Posted by SongofJoy (Clarksville, TN - Zone 6b) on Oct 1, 2013 5:30 AM This plant has done very well for me in my zone. Since the blooms face downward, depending on the location, it can need some staking. Does well for me in pots and in the ground. Vigorous and blooms for a long time mid-to-late summer and into early fall. The color is striking. [ Reply to this comment
Posted by lovesblooms (Maryland - Zone 7a) on Feb 3, 2015 10:14 AM As you can see in my photo, these did need to be staked, but I forgive them. Look at those flowers! These are first-year plants in full sun, in a new bed of clay amended with leaf compost. Maybe they'll be stronger next year, maybe not. I don't mind staking, although I'll probably find a cage rather than the bamboo stakes this year. [ Reply to this comment
