This is a fairy common cultivar. It was first offered by Holbrook Farm and Nursery in North Carolina. It has good leaf disease resistance, as the species and a number of cultivars and hybrids can be picked on by leaf spot disease or mildew and drop foliage in late summer. The premature leaf dropping is more common in the more humid, warmer regions of the Southeast US than farther north.

I have Blanche Sandman honeysuckle growing over an arch at the far end of my garage. It looks simply stunning. Blanche Sandman is one of the trumpet honeysuckles. As with all trumpet honeysuckles, it has no scent.
