This is a double red peony that blooms early-season. It produces huge, deep red blooms. Beautiful!

"Paeonia 'Karl Rosenfield', (3-DB-RD) lactiflora cultivar Peony, (Rosenfield, 1908), USDA Hardiness Zone 4, Medium height, large double, Red petals, strong stems, good cut, no fragrance, midseason bloomer , Michigan Bloom Month 5.

Heirloom. Guard petals large and waved, central petals incurved and notched. AKA 'Beni-shinano' in Japan."
