This plant is considered a weed by most people in our area. I love it, and often will transplant them to better spots around our place. They transplant easily and keep on blooming for months. It's such a wonderful bit of color and doesn't require much water at all. Our landscape is overrun with deer, rabbits and Javelinas, but they don't look twice at these little flowers.
