So far, I have only seen this native species at the demonstration garden of North Creek Nursery in Landenberg, Pennsylvania. Its native range is in New England and then from Mississippi to east Texas up into Nebraska to Wisconsin to Ohio. It is offered by some native plant nurseries, though I can't think of seeing it in conventional ones. Handsome looking perennial! I love not only the white, trumpet-shaped flowers about 1 to 1 1/4 inches long, but also the opposite, shiny, dark, smooth, lance-shaped leaves.
