This incredibly beautiful and historic park is a hidden jewel, 237 acres of pure magic and mystery. I always did find something to stare and wonder at years ago when I first worked in it; I still do on the regular visits I take now. It is simply an enigmatic, awesome and breathtaking place of indescribable beauty set in vast proportions.

Until January of 2020, I never saw a straight species of English Yew. I unexpectantly came upon one specimen that was a large, wide-spreading shrub at Jenkins Arboretum in southeast Pennsylvania, in a sheltered location among some Rhododendrons in USDA Zone 6b. It is native to Europe, western Asia, and far North Africa where it is usually a pyramidal tree about 30 to 85 feet high, though it can be a wide-spreading large shrub there also.
