I recently purchased this plant at a local plant sale and can't decide if I want to plant it in the ground or grow it in a container on the deck. It's listed for zone 10 and 11 and I'm in zone 9 where we sometimes have frosts and freezes so I will probably grow it as a container plant to be moved to a protected location during cold nights. I've heard that this one is a scandent shrub that loves to climb, reaching 6' in height and width and that it needs a trellis for support, but I will probably keep it pruned to a more manageable size. I love the colorful fall foliage of this shrub and also the cute and colorful little flowers that resemble little hats or parasols!
