The group has grown to over 40 organizations who are working together to get gardeners to raise their hands and be counted in the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge! If you already grow plants for pollinators then please register your pollinator garden and earn a shiny MPGC microbadge for your Garden.org profile!
The National Gardening Association is a proud member of the National Pollinator Garden Network and is urging all of our members to join this critical movement. When you support pollinating animal species by planting habitat, you are making a vital contribution to both our environment and food supply. Pollinator Week 2018 will be celebrated June 18-24, with events all across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
So, what can the home gardener do?
Grow plants that provide habitat and food sources for pollinators. That can be as simple as a pollinator window box or as involved as a full-scale pollinator garden. Already doing that? Then the next step is to stand up and be counted! Tell the world that you care about pollinators by registering putting your garden on the map, and earn the MPGC Microbadge!
At the bottom of this page is the link to the form to register your garden. In the sidebar of this page you will also see links to many fantastic resources to help you plan new and enhance existing pollinator gardens.
Spread the Word!
Let everyone know you've taken on the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge using the hashtag #PolliNATION on social media.
