There's nothing like fresh herb butter smeared on a croissant, melted on fresh steamed broccoli, or flavoring a robust baked potato. The herb flavor allows you to use less butter and still get great flavor.
1 tablespoon fresh chopped herbs or 1 teaspoon dried
1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
Knead the herb into the butter. Form into a log and wrap with plastic wrap. Store in the refrigerator about a month or the freezer for three months.
Best herbs for butter: chives, basil, tarragon, lemon balm, dill, burnet, parsley, and cilantro.
