Porcelain Vine
Porcelain vine (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata) is a vigorous and attractive vine from Asia that will rapidly grow and cover a trellis or arbor. It has dense foliage resembling leaves of a grape vine and works well for a screen. Its outstanding feature is not the flowers but the colorful turquoise-blue fruit. The foliage of A. brevipedunculata 'Elegans' is splashed a creamy-white and tinged pink that adds visual interest in the garden. It can be effectively used to cover unsightly walls, fences, poles, or even trained over large rocks. This vine will grow in sun to partial shade and in well-drained soil. It's hardy to zone 4.
