Drilling Drainage Holes
If you have a big pot that doesn't have a drainage hole, here is a tip for drilling a hole in the bottom. To prevent cracking or breaking ceramic pottery, place heavy masking or duct tape over the area where you want to make a hole. Use an electric drill and push straight down over the taped area.
