Clever Gardening Technique

Sharpen Digging Tools
Sharpen the blades of digging tools, such as shovels, hoes, and trowels. You will be amazed at how much easier it is to dig with a sharpened tool. Use a metal file and sharpen on the concave side of the blade. Hoes should be sharpened on the outer side, or the edge that first comes in contact with the soil. Use linseed oil on wooden handles to prevent splinters.
