Black Plant Society
As with many specialties, when you scratch the surface, you discover a world you never knew existed. The International Black Plant Society Web site is a labor of love for Karen Platt, a black plant aficionado. You can order lists of recommended plants for certain color schemes that incorporate black, or get a personalized design from Karen. The society is based in the UK.

'Kent Beauty' Oregano
Origanum rotundifolium 'Kent Beauty' is an ornamental rather than culinary oregano, with trailing foliage and pendulous pink bracts that are showy most of the summer. It's gorgeous draped over the side of a container. It needs sun and well-drained soil. Though hardy only to zone 5, it's well worth growing as an annual if your location is colder.
