National Arboretum Azalea Blossom Watch
There are over ten thousand Glenn Dale azaleas at the National Arboretum in Washington, DC. This year the bloom display is expected to be peaking from about April 20 to May 8th. The busiest visiting hours are after 3 p.m. on weekdays and after 2 p.m. on weekends, so try to visit earlier in the day if possible. If you can't make it during peak azalea time, just visit when you can. Spring is a glorious season at the arboretum! For more info, visit:

Pragmatic Vegetable Gardens
As much as we enjoy gardening, most of us would like to enjoy bountiful harvests with less work and at the same time maximize what we can grow in the amount of space we have available. You'll find some great tips in The Intensive Gardening Technique site. I like to think of it as gardening smarter, not harder. Check out these powerful ideas -- intercropping, vertical gardening, succession planting, and transplanting -- for some super-practical approaches you can easily try out in your garden.
