Fringe Tree
The fringe tree (Chionanthus) requires some winter chill, so it's perfect if you live away from the bay. The spectacular flowers bloom in spring and are borne in impressive lace-like clusters. The foliage is deciduous and broad-leaved and turns bright yellow in the fall. This is an excellent patio tree. It grows from 12 to 20 feet in height. Plant in full sun with good drainage and don't overwater.
