Gardening With Native Plants
Many gardeners are interested in using native plants in the landscape. Sometimes it is difficult to identify plants that are native to your local area and suitable for your landscaping needs. The Connecticut Botanical Society begins to address this on their Gardening With Native Plants Web site, which lists plants native to CT (and to much of the mid-Atlantic region) and divides them into groups such as perennials, shrubs, and so. Not to be missed is the excellent reference chart of 130 native perennials worthy of garden use.
