Forcing Bulbs at Home
Forcing flower bulbs at home is a fun and easy way to enjoy spring flowers during the winter months. Some bulbs are incredibly easy to force, making them a perfect project for kids or non-gardening friends. Getting other bulbs to bloom in midwinter is a bit more complicated. The Netherlands Flower Bulb Institute takes the guesswork out of bulb forcing with Forcing Bulbs at Home, a series of articles covering everything from chilling bulbs, getting an amaryllis to rebloom, choosing holiday bulb gifts, selecting the best bulbs for holiday blooms, and forcing hyacinths to bloom for the holidays.
