Romantic Orchid Show
The month of February is the month of love, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is having its Romantic Orchid Show during the entire month. The Arboretum will display a wide variety of rare, unusually large, and difficult-to-grow orchids in a rainbow of colors from tropic zones around the globe. Learn all about these wonderfully exotic plants and receive tips on finding species that will thrive in your own home. The arboretum is located at 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska, MN 55318. Rotating Handle Pruners
The tool is certainly not a new one, but one I've rediscovered. After using my standard pruners for several years, I recently splurged and purchased a pair of bypass pruners with a rotating handle. The rotating handle makes long days of pruning slide by, without my typical moaning and groaning at the end of the day because of sore muscles in the hand and arm. I purchased a Felco model, but there are many brands out there. Before you buy, try them out to see what fits best in your hand.
