Favorite or New Plant

Aster 'Professor Kippenburg'
Now is the ideal time to appreciate the lovely 'Professor Kippenburg' aster, with its clear purple-blue blossoms and golden centers. It begins blooming in mid-September in the Midwest and continues through the first frost. The plants grow to about 15 inches and don't need the late-spring pinch to keep them compact. It will grow in full sun to partial shade in average garden soil with some organic matter. A must-have for fall color in the perennial border!
