Red Desert Rose
What a grand alternative to poinsettias! The bulbous "foot" of the red desert rose (Adenium obesum), a succulent plant, narrows to a gray trunk topped with the large yet delicate-looking pinwheel-shaped flowers of the species. These desert roses are truly red, festive, and a nice addition to your holiday decorating plans, since they bloom best in our winters.

Dew Drop Hummingbird Feeder
A sweet gift, literally. The Parasol Dew Drop Hummingbird Feeder reservoir is handblown from recycled glass, so every globe is slightly different. One red-lipped nectar port forms a spout on each globe, which holds more than 20 ounces of nectar. Despite their fragile looks, the feeders are remarkably easy to clean and refill because the port and its stopper pop right out and back in again. One note: because the Dew Drop works on the principle of vacuum, fill it completely each time so no air is trapped inside to frustrate the hummers.
