Bouquets to Art
The 23rd annual Bouquets To Art event returns to the DeYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park on March 20 to 24, 2007. Nearly 150 floral designers will interpret selected works of art with inspired arrangements that will amaze and delight!

What better introduction to spring than dozens of stunning, elaborate floral arrangements displayed in a dramatic museum setting? And what better way to see the de Young than when filled with Bouquets to Art?

The Museum opens at 9:30 a.m. General admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, $11 for youth, and free to children under 13. Tickets are available at the museum door. For more info, visit:

Birds of Napa County
Birds of Napa County, by Hermann Heinzel (Heyday Books, 2006; $12.95), is an illustrated guide for all of Napa County and includes waterfowl, and meadow and woodland birds. There are over 300 species of birds depicted realistically in their natural environment, organized by season and location. There is a locator map, a checklist, and a section on rare migratory birds that visit the area. The book even includes the legend of a flock of escaped pink flamingos that inhabited the salt ponds in south county! If you are a bird enthusiast and love to travel around the bay area, this field guide is the book for you.
