Clever Gardening Technique

Plant Small Rootballs
Research shows that smaller-sized tree transplants (15 gallon) catch up to larger transplants (24-inch boxes) within about five years. The big trees suffer more transplant shock to their larger root system so their growth rate is slowed. Save yourself labor and money by planting a smaller tree. It's much easier to dig a hole for a smaller rootball!
