Perennial Plant Sale
The newly designed and rebuilt Potting Shed at the Fullerton Arboretum on the Cal State Fullerton campus has a marvelous selection of perennials for all garden situations in 4-inch pots and gallon sizes, and a big sale on Saturday, June 9-10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., promises even more selection. Clever Gardening Technique

Support Mums in a Whole Bed
Support stems of chrysanthemum plants growing closely in beds with chicken wire unrolled the length of the bed and staked 1 foot above the soil. The stems will grow up through the holes and support themselves to their full height without toppling over. Setting up the wire support is easier than staking each plant, selective cutting of blossoms is easier, and clean-up is quickly accomplished.
