Clever Gardening Technique

Rake For Support
An old rake makes a perfect support for a fruit tree branch heavy with fruit. Tuck the branch between the tines, and angle the handle into the soil so the branch can still sway in the breeze. Cushion the sharp edges of the rake tines with an old glove or folded layers of cheesecloth.
