Garden Your Way to Help and Fitness
Here's a paradigm shift. Imagine creating your garden space for exercise as well as relaxation. Garden Your Way to Help and Fitness, by Bunny Guinness and Jacqueline Knox (Timber Press, 2008) shows ways to stretch and use tools and do garden chores ergonomically. It also explains ways to design a garden for ease, healthy and safe movement, AND fitness. For example, an attractive stone ball can be more than decorative. Think outside the box and step inside the garden bed. Use the ball as a foot rest to stretch your calves.
