Master Gardener
It takes time, and it takes training. You'll learn new things, sweat a little or a lot, and give back to your community. This description paints a picture of Master Gardeners, but it leaves out the best part: you will meet amazing people from all walks of life. Consult your local MGs, or the Cooperative Extension Service in your area -- training is starting all over the regions. For example, University of Florida/Wakulla County begins its course on February 18. Find out more about registration and requirements (register through February 16) at Click on the Master Gardener button, and enter the world of giving gardeners.
