Favorite or New Plant

Blue Hill Salvia
One of my favorite perennials with violet-blue, spiky flowers is the Salvia x sylvestris 'Blauhugel', or 'Blue Hill' salvia. It is hardy to zone 4 and grows to a height of 15 to 20 inches depending upon exposure and soil conditions. Preferring well drained soils and a sunny location, it is a drought-enduring perennial that the honeybees love to visit. If you have deer and rabbits around, they don't seem to bother this perennial.
