Growing in a Green Century
To learn the finer points of tree care, head to Prescott, Arizona to attend the Arizona Community Tree Council's (ACTC) annual conference on Friday, September 25, 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., with optional events on Saturday morning. Geared to professionals, sessions also provide useful information for Master Gardeners and others interested in the latest research-based information and practical applications of appropriate tree care. Topics cover root management, storm-damage repair, pruning native and non-native trees, basic tree care techniques, and more. Registration is $200 for non-members, $150 for ACTC members. CEUs are available and organizers also offer spouse-friendly options if you want to make it a weekend getaway. Check the website at for full details.
