Potato Rake
I was reminded of the power of potato rakes when I was assigned the job of removing honeysuckle vines that had grown over, around, and through a 50-foot hedge of azaleas. These long-handled tools with four, right-angled sharp prongs are made for grabbing and pulling weeds around potato vines. Cutting and yanking got the vines off the shrubs, but getting the roots out of the ground seemed impossible until I discovered the potato rake. It dug into the soft mulch under the shrubs and with some pulling and twisting, dragged out clumps of the honeysuckle root very effectively. Use yours wisely.
