Favorite or New Plant

This wildflower is also called blanket flower, because its shades of red, yellow, orange and maroon resemble colorful Indian blankets. It is easy to grow in soils lacking organic matter. Sow seeds this month and keep soil moist until seedlings reach about 2 inches. It shows off with a lengthy bloom period from March through November, providing color even in hot summer. Will reseed itself.
