Green Scene Plant and Garden Show
Saturday and Sunday, April 17-18, 10am-4pm. This year Fullerton Arboretum's annual bonanza will host more than 80 vendors offering unique plants, vegetables, garden art and accessories; Master Gardeners and plant societies will offer expert advice; and speakers will highlight composting, water conservation, organic gardening and sustainability. $6 for all ages; free to Arboretum members. Clever Gardening Technique

Transplanting Forks and Spoons
An old fork or spoon will separate and lift seedlings gently from flats, and the handle (or a pencil or ice cream stick) can be used to ease transplants from individual growing pockets in segmented flats--all with very little damage to the tender roots.
