How to Plant A Tree
How to Plant A Tree by Daniel Butler
(ISBN 978-1-58542-796-3)

This lovely little publication is a celebration of trees and tree planting ceremonies. Drawing on ancient rituals and folklore, Daniel Butler outlines a variety of commemorative tree planting occasions such as a new home, the marriage ceremony, a new baby and as a memorial to mark the passing of a loved one. He also includes information on the cultural lore of specific trees and how they have influenced society over the ages. A pear tree, for example, is suitable to celebrate an engagement.

The book includes information on attracting wild life, planting and site selection. Illustrated, 127 pages, including index.
