Drip Irrigation for Containers
As much as I love container gardening, it can get tedious watering a lot of containers every day. Check with your local or online supplier of drip irrigation products for ways to use drip irrigation to water your containers. A line run along the ground from which tubes ending in an emitter extend up into each container is one such option. Add a daily timer and you've got a virtually care free setup.

Clever Gardening Technique

Moving Heavy Containers
A large gardening container can greatly expand our growing options, allowing for dwarf citrus in cold climates or acid loving azaleas or blueberries in areas with high pH soils. However moving a heavy a container filled with soil can be backbreaking, if not impossible. One solution is to use a dolly with a strap attached to one side, wrapped around the container and then attached to the other side of the dolly. This makes it easy to relocate your container even across soft or uneven surfaces and sans chiropractor bills!
