Clever Gardening Technique

Check out Leucophyllum During Bloom
Commonly called Texas sage or Texas ranger, these bulletproof native shrubs (Leucophyllum frutescens) burst into lavish bloom during summer monsoon weather. Growers have introduced a wide range of foliage colors from grays to greens and flowers in just about any purple, lavender or violet shade you can desire. (There's also a white bloomer, called 'White Cloud.') Leucophyllum shrubs are available in many sizes from 3 to 6 feet tall and wide, so don't be beguiled by bloom color alone. Choose based on your available space so you don't have to prune, which will ruin the plant's natural shape and eliminate flowering.
